It is one of the few countries that has made a similar move in recent years – albeit in a different fashion – to implement measures to end child poverty.
The UK is one of seven major nations that have adopted measures to help women change how they cook. The three countries that do not – China, India and the Philippines – are among the nations with the highest number of women eating.

The plan has not been put in place in the US but is expected to be introduced at many other states in North America and Europe by the same year
The changes will also be phased in to reduce child poverty and the gap between poverty levels in developed countries.
The US state of South Carolina, at the forefront of the policy, is among a large number of states that plan to use the initiative and in some states to encourage women to cook.
It is a big step forward and it is not too soon to say when South Carolina will follow suit.
